No it actually means to not let money be the deciding factor in the choices you make in life.
Somestimes I also think of it simply as "go driving" and leave some nice black patches

i definitely appreciate the help and the offer, i just don't think a 15+ year old instrument cluster with plenty of mileage is worth 80 bucks. it is hard for me to send that much money not knowing the person i am buying from and the condition of the product. my sincerest thanks though, again, for the help and the offer guys. this is a good forum with good people.

Me too. I bought the other one from Tyler a few weeks ago
. I've been looking for a LONG time for a cluster with a tach that was in good shape. This one was in great shape. Beware, most of the ones out there for sale (at least the ones I found) were attempts at switching out guages gone bad...and you'll end up with a punked cluster. They stopped making these 15 years ago.

then who are you gonna trust? TDIclub? i would think not! you can see who on here is trust worthy very easy! just do a little reading! Tyler (burn your money) is a moderator if you have not noticed! if you want to know about anybody or anything he's the one to ask! and just remember that the cluster maybe 15years old but they are not made anymore and there are few of them especially here in the states!you otta see how much that cluster really costs?

Thanks for the kind words everyone. I'm glad that everyone has been happy with what they've bought from me.
I can certainly understand anyones hesitation of buying site unseen over the internet. I've been hosed a couple times and it truly sucks.

Diesel clusters with tachs are getting very hard to find in the US, especially for the CE2 cars, which were few and far between and in the ecodiesel series didn't come with a standard tach.
They've gotten very spendy lately as everyone scrambles to get a tachometer.

Dearest blkboostedtruck,
No wonder you don't get along with the people at TDI-club. First of all you probably have too much money to spend and would buy anything at any price. I am poor, however. I turned down the offer in the most respectful way possible with no hard feelings towards Tyler what so ever, so back off. I am sure he is a great guy but I am entitled to my opinion as well. I am new to the online forum thing and people like you really make the newbies feel welcome. Thanks so much.

Let's keep in mind that this is a open forum incorporating ideas and opinions from around the world. The intent of it is to provide a fun and informative place to discuss diesel engines. Let's try and keep it friendly. I'm sure no harm or insult was intended by anyone's comments in this thread.
