#1- I been havin a problem with breaking fuel lines. the biggest problem is from the 2nd injector line. it always seems to come in contact with the pump. right now i have all the clamps on, but loose and all the lines loose so that i can adjust everything. i keep getting this though:
 
yeah thats a brand  new line. been through 3 of em. heres another pic of an older line that was on there:



how can i adjust these lines so that they dont get so much stress? most importantly how do i keep that one off the pump??


Heres another kinda unique problem that ive created for myself. while deleting the ac I converted to a 90amp alternator using a modified 16v ac mounting bracket.  works well,mostly. i cut the top off it and mounted the alternator where the ac used to go. the tensioner got a little interesting. this is how i temporarily mounted it.




ok, so i know its not the best thing, but its not creating too much more vibrations either. how do you think i can better mount this tensioner? there doesn't  seem to be too many other options.

I'll try to post better pics tomorrow when im soberer....

I see what you are saying and that makes sense. I dont have tools to do the timing yet though.

The lines are also relatively pliable. It's hard to tell from the pics how much you would have to move it, but you could simply bend the line away from the pump. Or what I have done in the past, use an old piece of hose and stick it in between the two.

10X... from the look of the pictures your pump is awfully close to the head.

At this point I bet a timing kit is cheaper than new hard lines ???   :wink:

Infinitely more reusable, as well !!

thanx guys. im looking into getting a timing kit. i gotta do the timing belt any way.  i guess the po put the pump in like that.
