FS: Oil pan and gasket
« on: November 10, 2007, 07:36:29 pm »
I have a customer who ordered an oil pan and gasket, part number 051103601. This should fit any MKI, II or III (non VR6) car, but check the part number before you order. The gasket is an OEM Elring. I'll sell both for $40 plus shipping to get them out of here. Let me know!

For reference, does the pan have the fitting / hole for the turbo oil drain line?

The only hole I see is for the drain plug--but I'm not exactly 100% sure what I should be looking for. The customer originally ordered it for a MKIII TDI. Here's a pic though:

this should work fine for the 1.6 N/A, AAZ and 1Z possibly AHU?

since the 1.9's and early TDI's have the oil return right into the block...

is the gasket the older style "cork/rubber" composite one... or an all rubber gasket?
I may be interested as well.

Also, this is a slightly "higher capacity" oil pan (especially if its new OEM), 4.7 q vs. 4.2? Something like that.
It'd save me buying a new one for the b3's project motor.

I think that the oil pan is 4.2L (4.8q or so). The gasket appears to be all rubber, but I don't want to break the seal on it. Part number is 044 103 609D.

For mk3 Golfs of Jettas that oil pan should fit any 2.0 (ABA) or 1.9TD (AAZ) engine. Not sure of others from previous generations.

I'll probably PM you about it and buy it for the next TDI motor I'm building as long as its the rubber gasket :) Matches the PN :)

Cool Joe, I'm in the middle of finals myself--I have it sitting here though and would love to get it out of the place, please give me a call at 801 762 6106 or fire me an email and we'll work out the details and get it shipped off to you.
Thanks,
