Looking for heavy duty shocks and struts for my 86 Golf. Can I use a different type for a stiffer ride and a little lift?
passar rear suspension (b3) can be used if you swap the upper strut mounts. They are heavier duty and will raise the rear a bit
Haulin' firewood? It can carry a bunch!
lol maybe i do have a wood stove. actually i was gonna use a beater outback for that. it just has very lose suspension eright now and my mechanic said the struts and shocks were shot. i'd rather buy stiffer than stock since i'm a big boy and i do haul some stuff around from time to time
where is everyone getting springs from for the 80 Rabbit diesel? Im told by the mechnic that someone cut the spring to change the ride height and he wont pass my car for a safty because he claims the front end clicks when you turn/
does anyone know why my new upper bushings on Koni adjustibles with cut spaxx springs wont work?
when I jack my car up off the ground using the body (allowing the control-arms to drop and removing the tension off the front suspension why would it click? Is there anything I can do to not sacrafice the ride height and stop the spring from un seating in the perch when I turn>?
does anyone recomend getting non cut lowering springs? The upper bushing with the bearing in it is brand new! Wheres the noise or is there anyone with the simular troubles?
sorry to thread rip
