Does anyone have any experience with the swain tech ceramic coating they call whitelightning? It is for headers, exhaust manifolds, turbines etc. It is supposed to be like three times thicker than other coatings and cut heat significantly.
On that note, anyone have any opinions between the GoldCoat and the TBC piston coating?
I had my stuff coated at
www.Calicocoatings.com.
I think it was $39 a piston for a high temp top coat and a slippery skirt coat.
They also coat bearings. I had it done too..Fast turn around time and just really nice people to talk to on the phone.
They will coat anything you want but they wont try to talk you into anything you dont need.
Did you have anything done to the exhaust manifold or turbine?
I will be sending my pistons out in the next few days. I have read good stuff about them. Anyone here deal with them?

I only had my pistons coated and all my bearings done. Im going to be using an Audi turbine housing and I didnt have one at the time.
Where are you getting your pistons done?
I am thinking of sending them to swain tech. Gonna do the tops with either TBC or the gold armor stuff. I will probably have the skirts done with the polymoly goop or the new stuff-pl9 or something.
You guy's realy think it is worth it to do the bearings?

it was only $50 do coat all my bearings. I figured it was cheap enough. I spend that much in food during the week.
