Author Topic: ADG/K14 Jetta beats ford gas V-8 (Read 5700 times)

So my friend is always making fun of my little turbo diesel Jetta and today I finally showed him what was up. I pulled up beside him at the light and of course he was revving his big bad ford gas V-8 auto with straight pipes and I just patiently waited for the green light. I totally hung with him even in slow as heck first and second gear and then left him behind in third. The even better part is when a 90 degree turn came up and he had to slow down to a crawl and I took that corner at about 40mph. Trucks cannot do this. When we both met at the next light he told me that the rear tire was completely off the ground! Ha ha. I love my turbo diesel!

just the usual, straight pipe, fuel increase, 15psi, it's funny because i don't think the adg revs past 3K rpm governed, so i think there is a lot of potential with the addition of a turbo pump and another thousand rpm or so.

i've been to his shop... he is one busy man

one thing i noticed though, is that he is ALWAYS close to his phone :wink: great guy to deal with!
