FS: Air conditioning AC system from 1991 MK2 NA diesel Jetta
« on: November 08, 2007, 07:50:11 pm »
I recently removed the AC from my 91 Jetta.  I live in Montana and would rather roll the window down and enjoy the fresh air.  It was not working when removed, however it may have only required a freon recharge, I did not bother to do any troubleshooting.  Some pressure released when I separated the hose from the compressor...a good sign of possibly no leaks.  All openings were capped immediately so there is no dirt in the system.

I'll sell everything to anyone for $50 OBO plus actual shipping.  Includes:
-compressor (mounting holes are egged out and has a crack, but possibly repairable...I know of no other problem with the compressor; bearings seem in excellent condition)
-all hoses from engine compartment
-Condensor (mounts in front of radiator) and attached condensor can and all mounting hardware

I'll also throw in the bracket that holds the alternator and its tensioner pulley.  I could take the original electric connectors off my car and provide them also if desired.

Please contact me with any questions, or to ask for photos!
