Intercoolers

Hi,
Could anyone advise me on intercoolers. I am about to buy one for my IDI but I don't know the first thing about these things. I found a source

$189 will buy one. But as someone suggested on this forum not all intercoolers are the same and some are so bad that the engine would work better without them.

im using a vauxhall frontera tdi intercooler on mine, it only cost me £30 delivered from ebay and it fits very well in the mk2 front panel and the endcaps are ali not plastic and the part where the hoses go are a perfect size! hope that helps
