Question about rods and cranks

Hey guys,

I was looking at a couple of eBay auctions (first one and second one) for VW rods and got to wondering about their lengths. Are these two sets going to be the same length? I see that the first says it's for the 1.5D, while the other is for the 1.6TD. Just wondering.

Also, IIRC the 1.5D crank is a drop-in into to a 1.6TD block, just with a shorter stroke, right? If so, is it practical to mix-n-match parts to create a 1.5TD?
