installing 1.9aaz into my a2 speedo question.

Acquired the aaz and trans complete. Wanted to know how to drive the speedo. my car: cable, A3  the engine came from :no cable. is  there a way around this? all help is appreciated.

I believe I have figured it out. If you pull the plug that the speedo connects to on the aaz tranny, there is a gear under there. I'm guessing that my speedo cable will go right in there. OK maybe you all knew that, but i'm on a "i figured it out" high right now. woo hoo victory!

i'm probably going to switch to gps spedo as every vw i've ever owned never had an accurate spedo... always off by at least 10km/h...  had a golf that was always off by 20km/h.
