1.9 camplate or bigger plunger timing question
« on: October 28, 2007, 10:44:58 am »
If you put a 1.9 IDI camplate or a larger plunger in a 1.6 IP, do you have to time it to a different value or is it still ~1.00mm?

With the higher lift camplate (1.9td) the timing will still be set the same as the 1.6 one beacuse the start of injection will happen at the same point of either ramp.

Bigger plunger does affect timing but only when you take a big step from say 9 to 12mm I backed off my timing a bit mabye .10 mm at most.
