HI all,
I have air in my fuel lines. Replace filter, all small hoses and clamps in engine bay and connections at tank seem fine. It seems to get better, even go away when engine is warm/hot, but as soon as I turn off engine, bubbles start feeding back up into feed line. Is the leak in the pump? Is there a simple fix or is it a rebuild sort of issue?
Thanks all,
Ian
Fill a small container with clean diesel and run the pump straight from that. Did a new rubber o-ring come with your filter (if you're running the heated filter)?
sounds like you have a corroded metal fuel hose with a pin prick in when the engine stop air leaks in and fuel leaks out check to see if you leaving small amounts of diesel behind you when you been parked
Thanks for the replies. My fuel lines appear to be plastic/rubber from the tank to the pump from what I can see, and I have already replaced all lines and clamps in engine bay. I will use the jar of diesel tip, but I am pretty sure it will confirm that the leak is in or around the pump. Any common issues like this? And my filter came with a new seal.
Thanks,
Ian
