as soon as i get passed it she runs smooth as a nut. but in traffic if i settle around the point where she runs smooth/rogh meet she'll kangaroo. as the revs climb and the noise goes i seen to get a surge of power

mine is starting to do that too... i'm pretty sure its pump/timing related.

I had a similar problem and it was "injector Knock". Replaced the bad injector and it ran smooth again.

i've got a facet fuel pump. no bubbles whatsoever
i think its probably a bad injector... andy2 helped me change my injectors (he's awesome) and it seemed like one injector was sticking as the car idled like crap. with some high revving of the motor (my ears!!! ), eventually the injector started firing. the injectors just had new nozzles put on them, and did sit around for a few weeks before install.

its no 4, i slaken of the rest and the engine dies. but no 4 no difference!! i got 4 lucas injectors in and i got 4 spare bosch ones put them on one by one and she runs the same. so i swaped no 4 injector for no 3 and no 4 cylinder still not firing but no 3 is?!?
so injectors are fine. am now presuming its the pump or the cylinder itself is fecked

Check valve on the injection pump could be bad. Is fuel coming out of injector line #4?

Sounds kind of like it's running advanced at low rpm and corrects at mid to high rpms. Was it recently re-timed with the cold start cable accidentally left pulled out?

changed the filter it was full of lard from running on neat veg oil used and new!!
but still the knocking.
i put a new belt on it a little while ago and timed it up.
bosch injectors are on but running the same.
i dont want to start messing with my pump as there a tad complicated a freind sujjested turning the fuel up on the pump to get rid of it. but i aint got a clue how to do that.
will sort out a vid at weekend
