HELP !! AAZ WONT REV ?!?!?!?
« on: October 15, 2007, 09:46:36 am »
just fitted an AAZ in my T3/T25/Vanagon/whateveryacallit.
started it today and it wont rev , open throttle fully and i just get a 'fast tickover' sorta response!  the engine was sweet when taken out and my van ran ok(ish) - the SB engine died but fuel system was ok .
now the engine is in , nothing ! have done nothing and changed nothing to affect it. even though it ran ok i have taken off LDA cleaned it spotless , replaced LDA line.
i am guessing fuel - only thing i can think of is maybe the fuel filter. i have the type where the fuel enters the side of the filter head and it exits via a banjo fitting , do you guys normally go for the different / later filter type ( has two 90' bent tubes coming from top )
   help ! :D

A fuel restriction is also what I was thinking. Do you have any smoke?

nope! cant get it to run fast enuff    runs at tickover with/without cold start , on full throttle it increases maybe 200 rpm ? when you swap from a 1.6td to an AAZ do most people swap the filters aswell ? is it a 'common' occurance ? when i open throttle fully and look at the clear inlet the fuel continues to flow at a constant speed - before you could see it spped/slow as demanded. nothing has been changed on pump. havnt played/tinkered/fiddled with it- honest!!! cheers    elvis

I think the whole thing is toast, and that you should just give it to me.
