FOR SALE

88 Jetta 262000Km 50litre fuel tank 825-890 avg km's
5 speed manual
In dash aftermarket CD player
New Brakes 6 weeks old
New Tires 6 weeks old
>
Front windshied has two cracks first on driver side about 14inches across and 2nd on the lower passenger side about 6inches. They spread within an hour or each rock hitting, can do replacement before sale.

It's white with no exterior damage, sunroof.

The car runs awsome, there is a bit of smoke but normal is best way to put it, and it cruises on the hiway at 130 no problem.  If I sell my TDI I will be driving this, so act quickly.

Cheers

don't mean to sound rude or anything, but the price seems a bit steep...

So tell me how it works then... If there is not a single perfectly running very nice late 80's Jetta TD to be found on the west coast, what would you sell it for? This car needs nothing, I would be perfectly happy letting a non-mechanically inclined spouse or child drive this car with out concern.  Supply and demand.

Im posting for a friend who owns it, its parked insured (ready for test driver) in Victoria now as his wife is no longer driving it.  She has gone to Scotland to do her masters and needs as much out of it as she can.

Ive driven the car and its nicer than most so an exta $1000 for nice is reasonable in my book.

Thanks for the interest and the bump I guess...

Price is fine for the local market.  Running TD's are hard to find under $5k here.

Thanks Commuter Boy
When we set the price I didnt think it was too high either.  The problem with the local market is the kids that still think a 1.8T is a fuel efficient motor.  Oh well, Ive had a call or two on the car and it will sell eventually I sure.

Cheers
Erik

I've been looking at A2s for about 6 months now.. prices are definitely highest in BC, followed by Alberta, then gradually drop by the time you get to Ontario.

For instance, the delta between Alberta and BC is at least $1000.

Yes prices are higher on the west coast. Here TDs sell for 1000$ regularly (that's what I paid for mine) and arent uncommon.
