I have an 87 Vanagon with a 02 TDI in it and it has started to squeal
under load. It seams to be coming from the timing belt tensioner but
it is a bit hard to tell. (I had my friend drive while I listened in
the rear)
The noise could possibly be coming from the turbo as well but again it
is hard to tell.
The noise only happens under load and I am wondering if that seems
more common a thing from the turbo or the belt tensioner?
