Well its Sunday morning and am in work, got a whole workshop to myself

.
I was looking at adjusting the waste gate on the k14 turbo fitted on some SB Diesel engines and came across this web site
http://www.johns306.com/kkk.htmI know its for a peugeot 306, but the k14 is fitted on a lot of VW TD's
The link will say it wont let you in as you have gone through a search engine, on the right hand side there is a link to the k14 turbo, click that. What it dosnt tellyou is you is how many turns to adjust the boost, i found another site but cant remember where it was, i think its 2 complete turns clockwise to raise boost pressure...... but dont quote me on that.
My cars up on a ramp, to get better access for squirt of a bit of WD40 before i go for a brew and let it soak in, am looking for my k14 turbo and its not there........ So up goes the bonnet ( hood ) off comes the pipework from the airbox to the turbo, and i find a factory fitted T2 bolted on to the exhaust mnifold.
I have read on this forum that the T2 wasnt supposed to be fitted to the 1600 TD, yet i have one attatched to my SB TD engine.
Question:-
Should i keep it on there and go for a T2/T3 hybrid rebuild.
I have a few "spare" SB TD bits. Good cylinderhead with inlet and exhaust with k14 turbo attatched, "SPARE" GTD pump with wasted LDA.
Will post a picture of my T3 on the SB when i get back from work.
