too much boost???

i got a 1.6 turbo diesel was a eco diesel but i put on the boost enrichment pump, gtd nozzels and a garret t3 turbo im running 18 psi now, my stock turbo pushed 23psi i know the t3 is pushing more volume of air so can my motor handle more boost? i now i have the fuel cause il still bellowing black smoke

Are you intercooled yet?  If not you're just pumping hot air into the engine if you go any higher with the boost.  Above 23 psi you probably need to keep some spare cash handy for a headgasket.  :evil:

the glow plug chambers will melt / fall out  and the exhaust valves will burn away   IF you let the temperatures get too high.


and the headgasket will eventually blow out .....

running a front mount intercooler, and i have a egt gauge i never let it get over 1100(only got there once) but normal is 600 and under high boost 850-950

BOOST IT!!!!! crank down that waste gate drive the piss out of it!!

Go nuts!

Better get some studs in there @ a minimum if ya want to boost above 25psi.

I'm surprised you didn't blow your head gasket @ 23 to be honest, glad ya didn't but...

Have you turned up the max fuel screw? played with the boost pin in the aneroid? played with the star wheel?

You could add a larger pump head and or change the cam in the pump to get more fuel (Fuel=boost).

Sounds like your going the correct direction.

gtd nozzels and max fuel screw all the way up!!!! i like fuel lots of it  :lol:

can i run a normal gas cam? like a TT 268 i have a spare of that off my harlequin
