Howzit guys!

Wanted to get your input about using the earlier MK2 turbo components(exh. manifold, turbo, intake manifold, etc.) on a 2001 A-4/TDI.  Will the earlier stuff bolt up?

Thanx!

The exhaust manifold and turbo are no problem. They will bolt up fine. You will need to make your own downpipe to suit the car and oil feed and drain lines for the turbo. The intake will bolt up but the ports will not align properly. If you want to eliminate the EGR valve you can use a 1.9TD intake manifold. It has the same port shape as the TDI, or you can just make a straight pipe to eliminate the EGR valve. Check over at TDIclub, someone is selling a "race pipe" to replace the A4 EGR valve.

Thanx QuickTD

.....for the info. , but I have since decided to go a different direction.  I ended up buying a new ATP-Turbo exhaust manifold  (http://www.atpturbo.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Product_Code=ATP-VVW-004&Category_Code=VVWM)  off of ebay for $212.(retail $275.)  The only thing is, they only come w/ a T3 flange.   I'll have to have a T25/28 flange welded on, in order to use the GT25/28R I plan to go with.    The mechanical pump is a different story.  Will have to find a suitable big head/12mm plunger one off of something else like a cummins 4BT  or build some kind of a hybrid suitable to properly operate the TDI injectors.  My TDI already has the 11mm pump(auto) so I think I have all the main components to make one of these mechanical hybrid pumps.  I did also get a new set of TDI-Racing's P502(.216) nozzles off of ebay as well.....so.

BTW,  my interest is to repower my '87 Suzuki Samurai(2300LBS) using this TDI engine.

Take care & aloha!    ....renny
