VW t4 2.5TDI vs. MB 270CDI
« on: September 23, 2007, 12:26:08 pm »
Yesterday I was raced by a Mercedes 270cdi while driving my van. first my friend overtook it with his old Ford Sierra (about 300hp) and I stayed behind because of traffic. I think the MB guy decided that he could beat my old van and tried to escape from me. His car smoked so it must have been chipped. To his surprise my van accelerated faster and to my surprise he couldn't get away from me even at top speed. My tacho ends at 5000rpm, but it showed approximately 5400rpm, so that means about 225-230kmh (speedometer was against stop screw at 210kmh). I had to overtake just to ruin his day...

I love my van. 8)

Nothing like putting a car in it's place, especially when you drive something with unexpected performance, like a van.
