Leaking oil from head gasket
« on: September 18, 2007, 12:40:38 pm »
I have an 81 Bunny with the NA diesel. As I warmed it up this morning I was greeted with a puddle of oil on the drive. It seem to leaking out from the head gasket between 2 cylinders. The question is, has anyone seen this before and is it safe to drive for a bit till I fix it.

Thanks!

if i were you i'd just use one of those oil stop leak cans.  wynn's is a good name for that.  i wouldn't dump much money into an 81.  just let the car warm up a bit more with that thick oil stuff.

My 86 Golf has been leaking since a got it two years ago. I park it over a matt and check the oil allot. Got a new engine for just have to find the time to put it in.
