Adding Oil Pressure Gauge
« on: September 18, 2007, 03:26:18 pm »
I am adding an oil pressure gauge to my VW diesel.

I am looking for a source for the fittings to put a Tee connection at the end of the head where the normal low pressure sender is located.

I am also interested to know what the thread type/size for the sensor (028 919 081D) is.

Thanks,

adding oil pressure guage

I bought a digital guage and sender from Summit Racing. It has 1/8 NPT and it screwed right in. Works great! Check out their digital water temp guage too. I put one sensor in the outlet of the head to the rad and the other in the oil pan and a switch to control which sensor goes to the guage to monitor water temp and oil temp. Its works pretty cool.
