boost controller ?
« on: September 14, 2007, 05:40:21 pm »

got an engine as a 'cut out' from the breakers - i think the hose that has been cut is meant to go to the factory boost controller . unfortunately i never had it from the car before it was crushed . do i need one on a near enough stock engine ? can i get away with plugging it ? any ideas ? am i best to get another factory boost controller from a wrecker ?  cheers   elvis

fort it was you :o

"standard boost controller" i took that to mean the bov valve under your finger, (pic is a bit fuzzy) but it looks like the black hose is split.

is that what you mean or is that not the case?

 the only hose i see cut is the air intake. if thats the case if you can't block that off. get or make a new hose to run to an air filter.

That's why I added in "turbo" I knew it would throw some people off. :P

I forget where that line goes, I'm sure someone will know though
