So are the sodium filled valve stems worth the extra cash if you plan on running hard? I was planning on having the exhaust valve face ceramic coated anyway.
I read somewhere that stainless valves were better than the sodium filled.
Sodium filled was good technology for 1970 or 1980 but todays tech is better.
Note: I read that in regards to Porsche 914 exhaust valves. Jake Raby who is the a top VW Type 4 engine builder uses stainless on every engine. I'm sure that those aircooled engine valves take worse abuse than ours. (maybe debatable??)

Oh, also sodium filled valves cant be resurfaced, have the potential to burn (catch fire), and are very expensive and probably difficult to get.
