Is anyone running a K04 turbo?

Hi all, me again  :wink:

Is anyone running a K04 turbo? I'm considering this one: http://www.dieselvw.com/K04TDITurbo.htm, but the vendor can't tell me what sort of power it can make  :?  I'd probably run it with .216 nozzles.

I believe the K04 is from the 102bhp T4 Van. I don't know what power it can make, but I spoke to someone a few years ago with the 1.8T K04 on his tdi, he said it did nothing until 2500rpm and then flew.

I'm seriously thinking about a mtdi mk2 or Corrado again now

i think there must be something wrong with his tdi.  the k04 should spool a little less than the k03 should it not? 2500 rpm sounds like a K24

It was the one from the 210/225 TT/S3/Cupra R, i've never been in one but looking at the graphs they don't seem to do much at low revs.

This is what he said,
'the K04 is awesome. nothing like the VNT as it has lag, and with the small engine of the TDI it has a good amount of it. it takes getting used to as it does not produce full boost until 2500rpm. however, the boost is constant to redline and to top rpm as well....i was running 24 PSI which constant from 2500rpm to redline'

I don't know what injectors or pump he had

Hmm given the slow spool up in that thread, and that the guy selling the turbo in my original link has no idea of the specs of the turbo he's trying to sell I think I'll just find a VNT instead.
