noisy fuel pump?

I hear a squeak squeak squeak noise from what I think is the fuel pump. Could this be? It is not leaking and I have heard this noise for months now but I would like to figure it out cause its annoying. Has anyone had this issue before(maybe before their pump blew or something?) Thanks.

sounds to me like either alternator (or p/s pump while turning too far...)

i doubt a pump would make a squeek noise.  my alt needs adjusting every 1000km or so... new belt though, so maybe it'll stop stretching or maybe its my tensioner linkage that is garbage...
