does any one know what the diesel code for an automatic tranny is ? I'm assuming they are different from gas auto trannys? I wanna build a auto diesel pickup W/ turbo! if knowbody knows ! I contacted thad guy that is selling that diesel rabbit if he can give me the code of his tranny or does anyone know where i can find a link to info on auto trannys?

yes the code is different then a gasser one because diesel autos have an "E" setting that puts the car in nuetral when crusing (I think)

I doubt I'll have time but I'll try and have a look at my auto box

looks like a nice little car but i'd be leary of the repaint/hidding rust at that purchase price. why repaint a 100,000 mile car without a good reason?
