You use the same way that I use on my ALH set-up.
Now, my ALH is sold, but, I kept my turbo set-up on a shelf, if I do not manage to install it downwards,
I will re-use these parts:

Mike: How space you have between the turbo and firewall?

I can stick my hand between the VNT actuator and the firewall. It does not hit the firewall and there is plenty of room. I have stock mounts with the exception of the turn2 lower "hockey puck" on the front mount.

Here is what my adapter plate looks like. This is actually the first one I made. I went and made a second one because I didn't like the way this one fit. I did this on a regular drill press with drill bits and a hole saw.

Update for the moment I do not have much work on the Jetta, I joined/buy all the parts before undertaking large work.
The most difficult part, will be to build the wiring, to help me for the wiring, I received a PDF file from vwmike (thank much), I check also with a elsawin (audi/seat pd150) program on my computer, and I compare the golf/bora PD150 ECU wiring, it's identical, I check for comparison the ALH ECU wiring, I see that without the wiring for injection pump, the remains seems to be the same pinout.
Yesterday evening I looked by curiosity in the Esitronic Bosch program, after a long search (this software are 7GO of file) .... I found a surprise .....
I found the complete Bosch ECU pinout with some more info that I need, I'm happy, with all this information, that should be well.
I plan to start the motor the next week, by hoping that the ECU will not make smoked when I connect battery ...

2 of the bolts to straight through the manifold, adapter plate and into the turbo. I had to widen the holes in the manifold to do this but it worked very well. The one allen bolt fastens the adapter plate to the turbo and then the 2 bolts also fasten the manifold to the adapter plate.

Great progress! How did you prep the engine bay for that paint? it looks excellent!
I've been thinking about adding some stress bars to my car, do you think this one would benefit much? I've photoshopped it so everyone knows what portion that it beefs up.

well... I have all the necessary equipment for make a body work, I manage well with the body work too.
For engine bay, clean, sand, mask the part, prime and paint...
Very good idea for the eurosport bar, on my car, it have there the MK4 pendulum support (dogbone) which can harm the installation of that, but I can modified or to even built it myself.
