Need some part numbers---
« on: August 20, 2007, 01:08:59 pm »
Hey guys, wondering if anyone with an ETKA or someone who is just well versed might be able to help me out here...

looking for part numbers for

1.6L TD headgasket (1992)
head bolts/nuts ...  not even sure which one they are
water pump
timing belt + tensioner
valve cover gasket
radiator temp sensor / thermo switch

If you know these part numbers or maybe even where I could find them, that would help me out greatly to ensure I get the right parts from the dealer...  my luck always goes that I get the wrong ones.

Rather than the dealer I've had really really good luck with these guys... and no need to figure out part numbers:

http://www.autopartsonlinecanada.com/

Very prompt service, free shipping if the order is over $75, and so far it's all been OEM stuff.. no cheap knockoffs.

BTW, you might want to give some thought to the 1.9 headgasket for your beast... do a search here for lots of discussion...

I use the website that Vince is talking about all the time. 90% of the time your package is there the next day. They have 2 warehouses, one in Mississauga and one in BC (Victoria I think). If it has to come from BC it's 3 days with the standard free shipping

You'll save alot of money using them instead of the dealer

Try www.vagcat.com for an online Etka if you still need part numbers.
