Boost control install sense check

hi all

I am keen to get my boost controller installed but just wanted to double check I understand where it is supposed to be going. In the image in the link below I understand it tees in to the pipe that can be seen running along the turbo, is this correct? Also as far as I can tell the pipe is behind the turbo when looking at the engine in the car, should I expect to take the turbo out or is it accessible with air hoses out the way?

Also my (cheap) controller came with rubber hose and clips. Will this be ok to use (Im thinking about heat...)?
