breather above air filter.. oil running out the bottom of air box...

what would you do 1st? cause i bet $00.01 that oil soaked air filter sucks right out valve cover... think of how air enters the engine if filter full of oil..

easy... gas filter = 1/2 qt... diesel filter = 1 qt...

small pan = 3.5 qt... used till 79ish on some.. has tapered sides... vs bigger 4 qt pan they went too...

so is it that hard to tell some moron who thinks a diesel holds 4 qts is stupid and it takes 5??

filter and pan make it... but they all worried he has wrong dipstick... for 4 qt.. gas filter with tapered pan... i doubt that highly..

i stopped posting in dumb threads like that.  seriously, get a book out, oil capacities are in the owners manual and the bentley that everyone should have before they get on the internet and ask stupid questions.  who fills their oil like that too? i look how much i put in but i fill until the dip stick tells me i am full, not until i put 5 quarts in.  air box guy i could understand... if u don't know that much u would have no clue whats going on.  whats the deal with the last guy trashing the splash guard tho?  those came on almost every vw after like 86?

most likely why i have no acct there... i will call them dumb... no diesel vw made was 4 q excpt things like dasher.... and i still think they 4.5...

oily air filter... really people... are you that silly to not see it full of oil.. one of the 1st replys is where the breather goes in..

i just feel bad to say them i hope wet behind ears teens with no clue.. as if they were to "work on cars" for a living.. major issues commin to society..

yeah hopefully just kids.  we all start some where, but the best places are working beside someone who knows what they're doing or else with ur head in a book.
