nice source for various nozzles and injectors
« on: June 05, 2009, 10:19:52 am »
I've been thru 2 sets of nozzle/injector trials in my car trying to get someone to build a correct nozzle.
How hard can it really be?

One was a local "professional" service - they rebuild my nozzles for my 92 eco diesel - 2 set to 155 bar, 2 set to 160 bar.
Professionals....

One was someone I met "on the web" that seemed to have a good track record. (read - references)
Those injectors were set to 170-172 bar (spec is 155-160), bodies overtorqued to the point of warped and the internals had sanding marks all over the "polished" surfaces.

Thats the trials that I've been exposed to.

I finally found someone that did nice work, and I'm very happy to promote this info to diesel forums.

He is Sean at Hessian imports.
Sean is a vendor for a German nozzle AND injector manufacturer (Monarch). (some of you may have bought nozzles from him ?)
I've spent time on the phone with Sean and found him to be very knowledgeable and helpful.
Hes turned around work for me in less than a week.
His prices I believe are "good".
He has provided sound advice on some of my driveability problems even before I bought anything from him.

The injectors that I ended up with from him have performed well, didnt leak and were within 1/2 bar across the set of four. My car idles well, and my fuel mileage figures are better than previous adventures (Though I profess to needing to set my timing "properly" and have not yet done so!)

I'm not willing to share any more info about my bad experiences,
I'm just glad I found someone that does quality work!!!

I too have had good dealings with Sean.  I haven't run the nozzles I got from him yet.  But I did rebuild and pop test them with Op-Ivy and the spray pattern and everything looked very good.  The monarch parts certainly seem to be top notch.  ;D

Yeap, the group buy that we had a while ago had some good nozzles. I was happy with the ones I got and it ran better afterwards.
