Does your tach work with the diesel engine?

sooooooo.......after looking at the pics once again, i'm getting a little scared, actually just paranoid. why is oil there on the bolt hole beneath the #3 cylinder on the block pic. If the block was cracked, it wasn't because of me, because1. this motor hasn't been cracked open for at least 100K miles(when p/o did a re-ring)2. I though the infamous cracked block came from re-installing the head3. It ran great the last two years I've been dailying this motor in two different cars, up until the day the wp went.4. its a 11mm head.......paranoid yes; scared, no.....we'll see what 50 bucks in parts is gonna do. more to come
