1.6 Eco Valves different from 1.6TD Valves

Hello All;

I was under the impression that the 1.6 ecodiesel longblock was exactly the same as the 1.6 turbodiesel.  When I went to purchase valves I was in for a supprise, the valves are shorter.  Below is the measurements of my valves that I pulled from a 1992 1.6 Ecodiesel.

Intake Dia: 1.3385 Inches or 34mm
Intake Length: 3.7440 Inches or 95.10mm

Exhaust Dia: 1.2265 Inches or 31.15mm
Exhaust Length: 3.7420 Inches or 95.04mm

All of the books I look at tell me that the car takes a valve that is over 4 inches.  Am I doing something wrong or is this common to the ecodiesel.  Anyone have any ideas where to get these shorter valves without having custom ones made.

Dealer lists the exhaust valve at over 100 each but is no longer able to get them.

the valves I list for that application also fit all other hydraulic diesel motors

the exhaust valves are 55 each

the intake valves are 20 bucks each.

I thought the valves listed for the ME and the MF engine were just a hair over 4 inches in length.

Do your listings show the overall length or can you measure?

not to talk bad about your products or prices, because ive ordered my pistons, oil pump, gaskets and others from you, and i am very satisfied, but your prices on valves seem a little high, i paid $27.20 for 4 stainless steel intake and $39.40 for 4 stainless steel exhaust from the machine shop that did my head, i know my are for solid lifter, but is hydraulic really that much more?

no i saved $233.40

his exhaust are 55 each
intake are 20 each
which equals $300 for 8 valves

mine were $27.20 for 4 intake
and           $39.40 for 4 exhaust
which equals $66.60 for 8 valves,

yea, the original exhaust were sodium filled, and nothing wrong with that, but stainless is better because its stronger, lighter, flows better due to it being stronger, it can be smaller,  wont rust up in the guide if the motor sits for long periods of time. and the ones i got were SI brand, which is a really good brand, not junk Chinese. but to each his own, and nothing against myke.

Oh heck, I though you were referring to an "EA" price not a set price.

I saw an add in the book I was looking at for custom titanium valves.  Anybody ever heard of this, think they would be the ultimate valves?

That's autohaus price for the right TD valve with sodium impregnation..

I'm about 5 bucks cheaper per valve..

They beat my price by about 1 buck each on intake...

I can sell you the wrong valves for cheaper...  that's up to you

I however will not sell you knock off junk... ask your machine shop for brand and origin info on the parts they sold you, my bet is that they either won't / can't tell you or you wont like what they do tell you.
