Title: 1.9 TD pump?
Post by: catmanaz on July 16, 2007, 04:51:18 pm
Hello, new AAZ owner her.
I am curious about my rebuilt 1.9 TD pump.  It appears to be missing the manifold pressure line on the top of the pump.  It is obvious someone has made a piece to cover the top.  Is this a common mod?  If not how would this affect the pump performance.  Would the same part off a 1.6 pump work?  Thanks for any help.  Hope that makes sense,  still figuring out what everything is called.

if there is no pressure input thr lda will be inoperable so no extra fuel under boost.also looking at the picture i see no secondary water pump that was put on all td t3/vanagons.

A lot of them came from the factory that way, called "umwelts".  If you take the cover off and look inside you'll just see a hollow chamber sealed off from the rest of the pump if it's one of those.
