Title: Blinged up the engine bay a bit.
Post by: Cheesetoast on May 25, 2004, 09:34:23 pm
what do ya think? got bored so i started blinging the engine bay.  ac lines still need more work, but these 3 peices are pretty much done.  Wet sand with 320 grit to get the surface crap off, then use a polishing tip and hte dremel for the rest.

Speaking of bling, VWRacer, where do I get a fancy valve cover like yours?

Pretty bling, eh? ;)

That valve cover came with the car, and since all the engine parts are from Bertils Racing Engines in Antioch, Illinois, I presume one can purchase such a cover from them. The item doesn't appear in their catalog, though, so I can't tell you the price.

I haven't decided yet whether to transfer it over to the diesel. Perhaps I should first ask for a concensus hp improvement over at the Vortex...

Looks like a Passat 1.9TD fuel pump with the EGR system and cruise control.
