Title: tapping into the exhaust manifold
Post by: tbro on March 29, 2007, 05:03:54 pm
Trying to get an opinion on the best place to tap into my 1.6TD exhaust manifold to attach  a K style probe for my pyrometer.  I want it  pre turbo, but I cannot find if there is an ideal place to tap a pipe thread on the stock manifold for an A2 TD.  Anyone done this before and can give me some advice?  Thanks, Tom

the best spot would be closest to the flange that connects to the turbo... that way you get a really good reading!
