Found this DIY boost controller. Anyone every done this before? Does it sound like a good setup?

just use an old shop air regulator for 15 bucks at home depot
campbell hausfield "mini shop air regulator" in the tools section at the depot
i like to make my own stuff,but i said why bother ??

3/16" didn't cut it for me, I had to bore to 1/4"
Other than that, mine works on the same priciple, an dis effective.  I beleive iine is a 'steam pressure releif valve'  it has 1/2" 28tpi straight thread popular in flash supressors lilencers and muzzle brakes.  The fine thread makes precision adjustment easier, but good luck finding a tap or die like that.

yea,i wear them on long road trips,like when i drive my 8 hour trip to ny
the noise does make ya tired on a long trip like that
but drivin around here,i dont wear them
much over 2 hours though,i will wear them
my exhaust  is  just straight pipe with a turndown exiting before the rear axle :twisted:

Ok, so what can I use for the hoses? I've got some clear 1/4" ID left over from the fuel lines I replaced. Can I use them?

that should work.  as long as you get a good seal.  remember that if it breaks, you do not have control over the boost your car makes anymore  :shock:
