Title: 97 Jetta TD or Ecodiesel

I'm looking for the easiest way to tell if my Jetta is a td or an ecodiesel.  I've heard the 97's were offered with the ecodiesel in Canada.  Can i tell by the VIN? Also if it is an ecodiesel, are the tuning options still there?

just look for the boost enrichment LDA device on top of the pump, and make sure there is a hose running from the turbo compressor housing to the top of it.

easiest way.
