Title: Temperature sender on GTD turbo - wiring???
Post by: regcheeseman on June 21, 2006, 06:50:25 am
AS the muppets that stripped my GTD out at the breakers cut all the wires at the plugs I'm left with a problem.

I'm installing the motor using my A1 caddy loom and am two plugs short - the water pump and the turbo temperature sender

What does the temperature sender on the turbo do? Control a different temp gauge or warning light or does it switch the auxillery turbo coolant pump off/on?

Can anyone help with a wiring diagram?

the second one - switches the aux turbo water pump on.

I wired mine up to a permanent live (I think I went straight to the battery, but you could probably go to the fuse box somewhere if you wanted a more factory look/setup) so that it could run even when I swiched off (when the switch triggered obviously) to keep the coolant flowing round the turbo

Cheers for that!

I might add an indicator light somewhere to let me know it is running, else you would never know if the switch was actually working.
