Title: Passat pump needs LDA parts
Post by: evangelos on June 03, 2006, 11:32:16 am
Hello all,

it seems i have a passat pump and the same problem as

http://www.vwdiesel.net/phpBB/viewtopic.php?t=3976

would it be possible for me to simply go to the dealer a buy the parts i need?

can someone list the parts i need?

would it be just too expensive and i should forget  about it?

does anyone have these parts?

Best idea is to go to the scrapyards and find a 1.6TD engine, buy the injectionpump for $50/75  and swap the complete pump lid or the LDA internals :)

ok,

but my next question is , is this process simple, complex, can i bring my car to an IP shop and have them do the swap with the IP on the car?

Removing the LDA lid is just 4 bolts, pull the rubber disc out and then you turn the crownwheel up bij hand.
