I'm looking to swap a 1.6TD into a Jetta GLI. I've done a good amount of research and it seems like a pretty easy swap. I have a few points of concern though related to:
-downpipe/exhaust- will the TD downpipe mate up to the stock exhaust?
-cold start pull-knob- is it totally necessary?
-radiator- are they all the same?
-tach- would connecting the gasser's tach to the W terminal work?
I'm really excited about doing this. Can anyone offer any info? Thanks!

Thanks for the info. My idea is to get this done as quickly and as cheaply as possible at first. If I have to upgrade at a later time, that's fine. I just need a running car for now. I do plan on eventually upgrading the exhaust, but whatever works is fine for now.
