i can't say much with out seeing the turbine side, but the second one looks very small.
-
in person the inlets are the same diameter.
-
T3s
KKK turbos have a triangle with the 3Ks in it.
Air research is Garrett I believe after about 1986.
-
They're both T3's...but if I could see the rest of the turbos I might be able to tell you the applications.
-
where did you get those turbo, from wich car...
Greetz, Benjamin

the garret airesearch is from a 83 td quantum but i can not say it is oem. the other was suposidly from a mid 80s td jetta. the unit in my 86 jetta is from the 83 quantum. i am betting the one that just says airesearch is the older one. i have 3 turbos two say garrett air and one just air. and one 1.6 td that says MD on the id boss on the block out of a 90s quantum that i think should of been a 1.9L
