Wondering about porting 1.6TD head numbers. I played with a 1.6 head eons ago and it responded well on the flowbench to simple cleanup work, but it has been a long time and my notes are at home. Wondering if any of the shops have put one on the flowbench and modded it?

Dave at Passenger has. Perhaps he will post up the numbers.

They do respond fairly well to porting, the biggest thing to work on the the exhaust valve bowls, the port makes a very harsh 90 degree turn there and there is A LOT of material that needs to be removed. All in all its a typical German cylinder head, TERRIBLE ports and design, great casting! I can't remember the 1.6td flow #'s off the top of my head but I know with the TDI heads on a laminar flow bench we were pulling around 125cfm per intake port and about 122 cfm per exhaust port.
