Hey Guy's,
Piecing together a TD. What is the best injection pump to go with on a 1.6. Plan on running a K03, but may eventually go compound. Is a modified TD pump best, or is there a better option. I know with the MTDI's they somtimes run the cummins pumps. Thanks in advance,
Mike

Don't runa ko3, they are the worst turbo that came on any of the turbo diesels, get a turbo of a 1.6 liek the garrett t3 or the kkk24, they are twice the size of your ko3, will make more effecient boost and won;t make so much exhaust backpressure. A modified 1.6 or 1.9td pump is good, just get a core pump and send it to giles at superior fuel injection.

So the TD pump is the best option? How about the cummins BT4? I have no pump yet, so I could go any route at this point. Would like to get feed back so I don't regret it down the road. Also with a Giles mod, how much better is that than doing the mods stated in the forum. I'm not questioning Giles abilities, just looking at how much more power I will get going with a Giles modded pump compared to doing basic mods by myself. Also shipping to Canada from California is pricey.
