Morning all,what does the cold start mechinisum on the pump do?does it have a fuel cut off?
Ta,Its 32deg c at 08.15!!

Cold advance = 3 degree advance I seem to recall.
Mechanical shut off????? No. The fuel pumps fitted to the old automatic trans had a little "arm" which you could rotate with your fingers to shut the engine off (after you lift the hood/bonnet/whatever).

Thanks,i'm trying to find out why the engine is hard to start and only runs for 1 to 2 seconds after it does start.
The engine runs fine with the jx pump fitted..
