Take a look at the pic....
A crack between valves...
but, they don't go down into
seat of the valve........
"Iz they sum tin to worry about"

I was hoping to hear that....
I have seen stuff like this on
my 1.8l subie heads.... second generation heads or better....
Yeah, gasket was ragged..... so... new gasket
and we will be in with flynn.....

Completely 100% normal. The standard test is "crack the thickness of a dime" - as long as it's less than that you are good to go.

What bothers me now is the more common hairline cracks in the pre-combustion chamber inserts.  Got any of those?
