So I purchased bilstein struts, but went cheap and purchased some MOOG springs for my mk2. All is well on the front of the vehicle but the rear springs do not fit into the groove of the bottom spring perch... Instead they just ride in the middle.... Im not sure what to do about this. It almost loooks like there was a production mistake from the manufacturer when producing these springs. Either that or German Autoparts sent me the wrong rear struts.

Well after some research I guess this is normal for mk2 rear springs. Vw has a part they sell that limits the travel of the spring but it looks like nobody ever uses it...
