Title: Down Pipe (dp) gasket.
Post by: jaed_43725 on July 06, 2013, 07:38:25 pm
What is the part number either factory or from a manufacturer for the turbo to dp gasket? I have read of people on here using a copper substance in a tube to also make a gasket. Is that a better way to go? Any help is appreciated.

So would a nice clean surface work then? Or is it best to have a gasket or make a gasket?

I had a gasket on mine when I took it apart. After a similar discussion here, it seems many don't use one, so I didn't either.
I think Proth sells them but if your surfaces are flat, you should be OK.
I used high-temp silicone on mine but it's not running yet so I can't say if it will work.
