Title: do socket head cap screws need washers

I got some 12.9 grade socket head cap screws to replace my AAZ's main bolts.  Do I need to use washers with the shcs?  The under head area is significantly smaller than the OEM stretch bolts which have an integrated head/ washer.  Also what should they be torqued to?  Thanks,  Paolo
